In the year 2006 Emel Meneses presented in the Regional Artists Salon a series of drawings entitled “Uribe Vélez”, portraits extracted from newspapers pictures of the RSH VEST Colombian leader, placing in scene the Maternity-Nursing Tops always conflicting and polemic relationship that exists between art, politics and media, between media representation and political representation, between art and the  staging of power.
